Dates + Authors-in-Residence + Guest Agents
SESSION 1: April 3rd-7th, 2024, featuring Author-in-Residence Zakiya Dalila Harris and Guest Agents Jill Marr from the Sandra Dijkstra Literary Agency, and Stephanie Delman from Trellis Literary Management.
SESSION 2: April 17th-21st, 2024, featuring Author-in-Residence Chloe Benjamin and Guest Agents Amanda Orozco from Transatlantic Literary, and Felice Laverne from ArtHouse Literary.
Where: Hidden Valley, an Institute for the Arts in Carmel Valley, California.
What: Workshopping with fellow writers led by one of our Guest Agents or Editor, daily conversations about publishing from the prospective of professionals who will give insights into the industry, plenty of time and space to write, daily yoga practice, live piano music to write to, and a massage therapist available to book. This is a retreat to bring writers together, to create a community of individuals who love to read and write and support each other—if that’s you, please apply!
Fees
All rooms are SINGLE rooms with bathroom ensuite.
$2,697 for 4 nights and 5 days, all meals, snacks, and beverages included.
Deposit + Fine Print
Upon acceptance, we will require a $900 non-refundable deposit.
Participation is limited to eighteen writers in order to ensure that everyone receives the individual attention they deserve.
Northern California Writers’ Retreat is only open to fiction writers. You must be over twenty-one to apply.
Fees paid to Northern California Writers’ Retreat are not charitable donations. Deposits and fees are not refundable. Travel expenses and transportation to and from NCWR are not included.
